The Ffestiniog Railway Magazine is published by the Ffestiniog Railway Society and is the primary journal of record for the whole Ffestiniog organisation including the Society, the Festiniog Railway Company and Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways Trust.
The magazine contains news on the railway, updates on the associated Welsh Highland Railway, official announcements, articles on new developments and historic matters, correspondence from members and advertisements for accommodation in the area.
The magazine often contains articles on narrow gauge railways in other countries, in recognition that the Ffestiniog Railway pioneered the use of steam engines on the narrow gauge in 1863 and was the inspiration and model for the development of narrow gauge around the world.
The Ffestiniog Railway Magazine is widely regarded as being one of the best produced, most objective and professional journals within the U.K heritage railways movement. It has been published since 1958 and recently passed its 200th issue and 50th year milestones.
