James Spooner in Traffic

Following a naming ceremony on Friday 20th October, the new Double Fairlie, James Spooner, has entered traffic on the Ffestiniog Railway.

The first service was on Friday 27th on the Woodland Wanderer service Tan y Bwlch, followed by a repeat of the same on Sunday.

Approximately £80,000 was raised by supporters to support the construction of the loco as a response to the appeal to fund items and avoid stripping the Earl of Merioneth of parts.
