With the incredibly successful appeal raising £90,000 for the overhaul of Linda, work progressed last year on the boiler with the requirements to retube and testing completed. The boiler is now painted and ready for the chassis to be brought into the workshops.
As a first step, the frames have been stripped down and cleaning undertaken before taking into the workshops (photo: Rob Holton).
At present, sister loco Blanche remains in regular use mainly on Woodland Wonderer trains to Tan y Bwlch.
