News from the Company: It’s been an exciting weekend here at the Railway following our announcement on Saturday that the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways will soon be steaming once again!
This will be a momentous occasion for the railway and as gesture of thanks to the continuous support of our members we would like to invite you to attend our test train service on Saturday 18th July.
We will be running the full reopening service from Porthmadog to Tan-y-Bwlch.
This will be available to members of both the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway societies and invited guests only and must be booked in advance.
Members must book their place by calling the Booking Office: 01766 516024 (open 9:00-17:00 from Tuesday 14th July onwards).
*Please note we will require your membership number when booking.
Trains will depart from Harbour Station at 10:00, 11:05, 12:10, 13:15, 14:20 and 15:25.
The total journey time will be approximately 2 hours 45 minutes, including a one-hour layover at Tan-y-Bwlch.
Please note, the 12:10 and 15:25 services will be diesel hauled by Upnor Castle.
Please use our town car park (not Harbour Station unless you are a Blue Badge Holder), postcode: LL49 9DF.
From the town car park, follow the walking route to the station. Please arrive at the station 30 minutes before your departure time.
Spooner’s and Tan Y Bwlch Cafés will be open and offering a takeaway service to passengers during this test service.
