In the glorious North Wales sunshine, the carriage works staff took the opportunity to move some carriages around.
Saloon 121, originally funded by the Ffestiniog Railway Society, has been in the works for a minor upgrade to windows and a repaint and revarnish.
Service Car 124 has been painted and varnished. Perceptive modellers will note the subtle change in the paint regime!
New Service Car 125 is being moved to the paint shop for finishing. There is much to do yet both inside and outside. When outside, the opportunity was taken to put the generator in place.
The new underframe for Saloon 118 has taken the place of Service Car 125 in the Carriage Works where the timber frame is making good progress. Note the glorious weather and snow on the top of Snowdon.
Additionally, there is new carriage 117, which will form part of the new FR train. It was completed earlier in the year but will not used until the new train is launched in April.
