Ex Penrhyn Quarry mainline class Hunslet Blanche has been absent from operations since May 2016 when she was dismantled for the obligatory 10 year boiler inspection and retube.
With help at Young Volunteers Week at the beginning of August, Blanche took a large step forward in the reassembly, with the fitting of the boiler and the saddle tank. Along with the tender attached, Blanche begins to look much more like we expect.
And sister loco Linda is in the old Erecting Shop having attention to the motion, including also a new front pony truck.
