Palmerston leads the stock to Port
A team from the carriage shed have spent a lot of their spare time in the last couple of years working on a replica of the 1865 Sentry Box brake van, an example of which has not been seen since the 19th century.
On Saturday 4 October, Palmerston led a short train to test clearances at various points on the line. The train included the 2007 replica Ashbury 4-wheeler, original bugboxes the tent, 5 and 6.
Come and see some of the amazing vintage stock that the Railway can showcase at the forthcoming Victorian Weekend, running from 10th to 12th October. .
