On Sunday November 11th 2018 at 3pm., a newly-constructed war memorial, funded by the Railway Heritage Trust, was unveiled at Tan y Bwlch Station to commemorate the sacrifices made by FRCo employees. There was a short service of remembrance on site, and a display of items of rolling stock that saw service on the Western Front.

After the success of our event last year, we are holding a “Join the F&WHR Volunteers” weekend, when you can visit us on Saturday 21st or Sunday 22nd April and we will take you behind the scenes, show you what you can do and to answer all of your questions. There will be something that appeals to everyone and if you are not sure, we will let you have a go…

At 2am, the @festrail crew shunted two tiny Welsh steam locos and a lovely Victorian carriage into Kings Cross station, much like #titfieldthunderbolt. They’re here on display for #walesweeklondon - do pop over and say hello to the volunteers all week!
